And now, a special announcement from Black Thought of the mighty Roots crew and the world famous performance venue, Carnegie Hall:

Carnegie Hall invites emerging and professional MCs ages 18–35 to apply for a free, four-day workshop led by legendary hip-hop artist BLACK THOUGHT.
Ten MCs will be selected to refine their technical abilities and hone their individual voice under Black Thought’s mentorship and perform in a culminating showcase at Carnegie Hall in October.
Black Thought:
“I’m excited to announce that we’re back at Carnegie Hall with our free “School of Thought” this October and applications are now open.
It’s a free four day masterclass for young emerging emcees to learn from myself and guests to hone their craft. We end with a performance at Carnegie Hall and this year we’re also adding a day of workshops with industry leaders in branding, publicity, digital, and more to help you all shape your projects.
No struggle rappers. Lol. But for real. No fee to apply. No fee to participate. And a travel+accommodation stipend will be given to the 10 finalists.”
Now friends. You know we know a ton of truly talented, substantive, God-tier rappers. Get them on board ASAP.
Here are the audition requirements:
