Peace and love to friends, neighbors, supporters and haters!
I took a break from the newsletter for the Easter weekend, but you know the deal: can’t stop, won’t stop – so we’re back, with a ton of interesting stories this week!
Quick humblebrag: Along with my esteemed journalism colleagues, I’m presenting on our hip-hop-influenced, social justice podcast News Beat at the B.I.T.E. Maker’s Day event in Jersey City on Saturday, April 21.
I’ll also be speaking and presenting at the upcoming #HipHopHacks event at Spotify in NY – stay tuned for more info, that’s a great event!
If you are looking for someone to speak about hip-hop music and culture, journalism, or podcasting at your school, conference, or festival, click here and let’s talk about talking!
Oh, and lastly, my new podcast, Hip-Hop Can Save America, kicks off in May. You’re gonna love it!
Ok, enough me. Let’s get to the stories!
