The Hip-Hop Advocate Newsletter
Peace and love. With so many tragedies, social and political madness happening, I think starting this newsletter was right on time. For years I’ve been watching how hip-hop innovates, inspires and problem-solves in amazing ways. We saw it just this weekend with the multi-city hurricane relief efforts of groups like #HipHop4ThePeople & #24HrsofPeace, as well as with Jay-Z/Tidal, Pitbull as noted below, and many smaller, local efforts as well. It’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to hip-hop’s power.

I like to believe that the true legacy of this culture will be in how it continues to shape the world in creative and positive ways, outside of mere entertainment. I look forward to continuing to curate stories that help demonstrate the depth of hip-hop music and culture, and encourage you to pass this newsletter along to help signal boost that message.
Thank you.
