The Hip-Hop Advocate Newsletter
Die hard hip-hop heads sometimes find it hard to be inspired by “today’s” hip-hop. For many reasons, folks simply tire of the top-40-radio-party-rap that influences much of pop culture, and have decided that hip-hop has become less than the sum of its parts.
I get it. But I hope that this newsletter helps to remind them – as well as to enlighten the totally uninitiated – that hip-hop is so much more than just rap on the radio, and that there are now so many opportunities for the culture to survive the limitations of being thought of as merely a ‘genre.’
Let’s do our part. I’ll keep curating these newsletters, you keep reading, loving and sharing them. Deal? Deal. :-)
Thank you.
